Insect, gummy bear, whatever you want to call it

Well, since I haven't been doing much knitting or crafting lately, I suppose it is only fair to let everyone who reads this blog know why.

That thar's a 10 week old parasite, I reckon.

So yeah, I'm 11 weeks pregnant! Yay! And my husband keeps laughing at me because I'm a little freaked out by fetuses. Fortunately, our ultrasound images weren't terribly "fetusy." Although, I did sort of freak out about what appears to be a hole in the kid's head. Everyone says I'm being crazy though, because the poor thing has clear skin and it's just the little insect guts sloshing around in there and nothing to be worried about. I'll just call it The Third Eye and pretend this baby is going to be born fully enlightened. Imagine how much easier parenting would be, if that were the case. :)

Ok, enough joking around. My husband and I are really excited and feel nothing short of wholly blessed. I'm nervous about giving birth (ok, more than nervous...low pain tolerance and a bit of a lazy streak, here), but not about anything else, which is good. We've seen and heard the heartbeat, saw the little insect arms wriggling around, and life is just good. We spend a lot of time just smiling at each other...can it get any better than that? Granted, I've fallen behind a bit in school, but my teachers understand and are making exceptions for me...but I only have two weeks to get caught up because the semester is ending!

So, again, YAY! And I don't want to turn this into a baby blog, so I'm really gonna try to get some knitting done soon! I still have Christmas gifts to knit!!

Alice, ME TOO!!!! I have been faving stuff I like on Ravelry! The only issue is finding unisex stuff because we are keeping the baby's gender a surprise! :D

Congratulations!!! Enjoy every single minute of being pregnant. It's the most wonderful experience in the world. AND.... don't worry about the birth, it comes it goes and what is left behind is the most precious gift the Lord can give us.
Enjoy and Merry Christmas. God bless you and your hubby and new little one to be.

Thanks, Julie, for the reassurance! I'm trying to take my husband's and everyone else's advice and just not even think about labor right now! I still find it hard to believe that there is a small life inside me...it really is a miracle! :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I'm glad you're marking stuff on ravelry, because although I barely know you, I will probably use you as an excuse to knit at least one baby thing.

Congratulations! I still haven't dared getting pregnant, although I'm older than you, but you sound very excited, and extremely happy. I can tell this baby has a very gifted, clever and pretty mom!

It was extremely interesting for me to read that article. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything connected to this matter. I definitely want to read a bit more on that blog soon.
